A Few Concepts To Consider:

Size vrs. Speed: Images are especially important when you have a product to sell, or a concept to convey. However, images on the Web present a special challenge: The bigger they are, and the sharper they look, the longer they take to load. This is not the problem it used to be before many viewers had high speed connections, but if part of your audience may be using dail-up, it's still an issue.

Optimize: Good image optimization software can help you walk the fine line between looking good and loading fast, and can optimize your images so your audience will like what they see, quickly. As a rule of thumb, always set your images to 72 DPI, at the size you will want to display them on your web site. Save as jpeg, and set the quality to "good" or "very good".

Stock Up: If you need to convey general themes, and do not have your own photography or illustration, look for stock images on the web that suit your content.

Product Shots: If you have products to sell, low quality images are not an option -- great product shots are necessary to inspire confidence in your potential buyers. Either plan on investing in camera, lighting, backgrounds, software, and instruction; or hire a pro to do your photography the right way.

Look Around: If you have an object or a setting that you want to show your audience in 3D, we can develop online virtual reality views (Quicktime VR). To see an example of our VR work, please click here.
